On January 13, 2017, Howard University and Corvias reached a financial closing that secured $114 million in private financing for the development and renovation of four residence halls and dormitory projects, including the East and West Towers, Drew Hall, and Cook Hall.
The first phase of the project is ongoing, with renovation of the West and East Towers. Work in Drew Hall and Cook Hall will commence at a later date. Under this 40-year partnership, Corvias is financing, renovating, managing, operating, and maintaining four residential facilities on the Central Campus, located in the heart of Washington, DC. PLDR was privileged to serve as the lead construction counsel in the transaction and congratulates Corvias and Howard University on the partnership.
