Our commitment
PLDR Law is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where reasonably achievable.
Accessibility tools
This site includes an accessibility widget in the lower-right corner of every page that lets you adjust the experience to your needs. Available profiles include:
Vision-impaired profile
Increases contrast, font size, and letter spacing for easier reading.
ADHD-friendly profile
Reduces visual distractions and emphasizes one section at a time.
Seizure-safe profile
Disables animations and visual transitions that may trigger seizures.
Cognitive disability profile
Highlights key page content and adds reading aids.
You can also adjust text size, color contrast, line spacing, cursor size, and other settings independently. The widget remembers your preferences for return visits.
Built-in accessibility features
Beyond the widget, this site is built with accessibility in mind:
- Semantic HTML — proper headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels for screen readers
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable via Tab and operable via Enter/Space
- Visible focus states — the currently focused element is always visually indicated
- Reduced motion support — animations respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting
- Sufficient color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast minimums
- Descriptive link text — links describe their destination, not just "click here"
- Alt text on images — meaningful images include text descriptions

In-office accommodations
If you need an accommodation to meet with us in person — including a wheelchair-accessible meeting space, sign language interpreter, document in alternate format, or anything else — let us know when you schedule. We'll arrange it. Our Lynchburg office is wheelchair-accessible.
Ongoing work
Accessibility isn't a one-time effort. We test new pages and features for accessibility, audit periodically, and update this site as standards evolve. Where we fall short, we want to know — and we'll fix it.
