Frequently asked questions.
You probably have a few questions before getting started. Here are some of the most common ones we hear, plus what you can expect when you work with PLDR Law.
Working with PLDR Law
How we work together and who you'll be in touch with.
If it's listed on our site, we handle it.
If you're double-checking — we get it. Feel free to reach out, and we'll help point you in the right direction.
You'll have a primary point of contact, but you won't be working with just one person.
Our attorneys and staff work as a team, so you get the benefit of shared experience, insight, and support.
We've built our process to make sure you get timely, consistent communication.
That means your first point of contact is often a team member like a paralegal or case manager, so that you're not waiting around for a callback.
You'll hear from someone quickly, so that things can keep moving.
Getting started
What happens between reaching out and your first conversation with an attorney.
We start with a quick review of your situation, including a conflict check to make sure we're able to represent you.
Once it's complete, someone from our team will follow up with next steps and scheduling.
After your initial contact and conflict check, we'll schedule time to talk.
Timing can vary depending on the situation, but our goal is to move things forward as efficiently as possible while giving your matter the attention it deserves.
Before we can discuss your situation, we're required to complete a conflict check. This protects your information and ensures we can represent you properly.
It's not the most exciting part of the process, but it's an important part. We move through it as quickly as we can.
Fees & consultations
How we charge, and what to expect before we start working together.
It depends on your situation.
We'll talk through your needs and provide clear information about fees before moving forward, so you know what to expect.
It depends on the matter.
Most of our consultations are paid — it means your attorney arrives prepared and you get a real answer the first time. For some matters, like personal injury cases we handle on contingency, the initial conversation works differently — just ask when you call.
Either way, you'll understand exactly how billing works before you commit to anything.
Rates can vary depending on the type of matter and the work involved.
We'll explain how billing works and what to expect before you make any decisions.
Communication & access
How you'll hear from us, and how to reach us.
Every inquiry goes to a real person on our team, not a queue. Before an attorney can speak with you we run a conflict check — confirming the firm isn't already connected to anyone else involved. That step is required, and it's the one nobody sees.
How fast depends on the conflict check and on which attorney your matter belongs with — so we'd rather not quote you a turnaround we can't guarantee. If it's urgent, call us: that's always the fastest way to reach someone.
Yes. Clear communication is a core part of how we work. You'll know where things stand and what comes next.
Yes. We use a secure client portal through MyCase where you can:
- Send and receive messages
- View documents
- Make payments
Once you're a client, you'll receive an invitation to access the portal.
We'll guide you through how to use it, and you can manage everything in one place.

Most questions are easier to answer in a conversation than on a webpage. Tell us what's going on, and we'll get back to you.
