— 01What we
handle.

Traffic matters across the courts we know best.

  • Speeding tickets
  • Moving violations
— 02When you might
need this.

Even a citation that "isn't a big deal" can have real consequences. Get an honest opinion before you pre-pay anything.

  • You've been cited for speeding and want to understand what paying it would actually cost you in points and insurance.
  • You've received a moving violation and want to know what your realistic options are before your court date.

— 03How we help.

Show up prepared, on time, and with the right expectation of what's possible.

The first conversation is usually short and concrete. Send us the citation and tell us what happened. We'll look up your driving record, check the court date, and tell you what the realistic outcomes are.

We practice regularly in the Virginia General District Courts where these cases are heard, and we handle the matter from there — so you know what to expect at each step.

And we keep expectations honest. We tell you up front what we think your case is worth pursuing, and we don't sell hope you don't have.

questions.

Questions clients ask about traffic matters in Virginia.

People facing a citation or charge ask versions of these. Plain-English answers — not legal advice for your specific situation.

I just got a speeding ticket — what should I do next?

Talk with an attorney who understands Virginia traffic law before you do anything else. Paying the ticket admits guilt, adds points to your driving record, and often raises your insurance rates — and once it's paid, those consequences are difficult to undo. The next step is a short conversation about your citation and your driving record. Use the Talk With Our Team option below to schedule a consultation.

What is considered reckless driving in Virginia?

Reckless driving is a Class 1 misdemeanor in Virginia — not a traffic infraction. Virginia treats speeding 20 mph or more over the limit, or 85 mph or more regardless of the limit, as reckless driving, along with a number of other driving behaviors defined by statute. A conviction can carry jail time, a fine, license suspension, and a permanent criminal record. Don't handle it like a regular ticket.

Note: The information above is general guidance and not legal advice. Traffic charges are time-sensitive — talk with a Virginia traffic attorney as soon as possible.
